Thread thread everywhere!

What's this? Was it a dream?

No! It was real! Dr. Von Threadmore has done it!
I've awakened to a bounty of, shall we say, inexpertly dyed thread :-) This first batch is made from a small kit of dye that came with the primary colors. So inevitably my first batch was neon rainbows. The colors are unreal! Farther into the process I concocted (Did I say moi? I mean the doctor concocted) some tantilizing tertiary colors.

After the first bout of rinsing I spotted some techniques that need perfecting. The bug has definitely bit though. I'll be ordering a trunkload of white Lizbeth as soon as I can.

And now my friends, I bid you goodnight. I suddenly feel the strangest urge to wear protective gloves........how odd.

Frightening experiment proves colorful! Genius, Doctor!

Your tatted sample looks great. As you prepare your Christmas experiments, will you be morphing into Dr. Von Kringle?

She's gone mad! Mwahahahahaha! Love the first experiments - so bright! And your tertiary colors are truly tantalizing too.

Will the beakers be bubbling over again soon?

It looks like you, er Dr. threadmore, has been having fun in the laboratory with the science experiments!
Your mad scientist blogging inspired me...I almost dressed up like a mad scientist for a a costume party yesterday, but couldn't find my goggles...rats!

Meanwhile, back in the la- bor-a-tory (basso profundo cackle), the Doctor painted, entranced as the colors 'appeared' as if from no where and turned the snowy white thread into magically, frenetic colorways.

How very exciting! Guard the women and children! LOL Oh, wait ~ the mad scientist is a maid. After all, it is a new Century!

Colours to DYE for! The Doctor has succeeded! Bring on those rubber gloves... carloads of them! Congratulations!

My paltry experiment with weak veggie water pales in comparison. I MUST try this!

The Doctor may have inspired a following...

LOL! Your posts are funny. When I was mixing all the solutions for my HDT dabbling, I felt like I was back in high school chemistry class! I wore latex gloves, but did not go all out with safety glasses. My HS chem teacher would have been soooo disappointed. He was always yelling at us "I don't care if I see your head rolling across the floor as long as the safety glasses are still on!"

Your colors turned out quite pretty.
