The question of the day....

Do I want to make another one?
I think Dr. VT has gotten the best of me. She is a creativity junkie. So I've spent all my tatting time today trying out new design ideas. This one I'm not sure if I like enough to make another one (although yes it needs a solid blocking). It started as an earring, but then it grew and now it would be almost 3" long with hooks. That's some major earring to be wearin. I wear monstrous earrings every now and again.... But anyway.... If I don't make it a mate, I guess it could be a pendant. I thought of making it a bookmark charm, but it has the wrong jump ring worked into the top. All of my bookmark findings are silver. For now I think I'm going back to the drawing board. Or perhaps the winding board....there is a pile of white Lizbeth on the counter just crying out to be skiened. Dye comes in monday's mail.
(P.s. the thread used is one of my HDTs.)

It may be too large for an earring, but what a lovely pendant!

Hi, Thanks for commenting on my blog! And I just found you. I like the piece. It would look nice as a center piece for a choker or necklace. Or it could go in the mystery file every tatter has(just don't know what to do with it now). Like the hdt too. :)

It's BEAUTIFUL! For me though, three inches long would make my ears a MAJOR target - how do you manage with little kids?

I say take advantage of all creative outbursts while the good Dr. is IN! It's all about enjoying yourself. In the end, your tatting will be even MORE of an expression of yourself because it is YOUR design, YOUR thread, and YOUR talent. That is SO COOL!

I agree with sewmuchfun4 -- embrace this creative surge!

Your three-inch motif would make a lovely bookmark if you joined two of them together at the jump ring. But would the plastic rings be too bulky?

Four could be attached together as a cross... Then perhaps tat around the cross to hold it together? Or maybe use the rings for Celtic work?

These are just my rambling thoughts...

Hang on to the earring bit until inspiration comes. A eureka moment is on the way.

I love this as a pendant - and I love how your HDTs are looking!

It's a bit out of season, but I sometimes wear large earrings during the sumer when I don't have to worry about getting them caught in scarves. The color is also very bright and summery. Personally, I would rather wear large earrings than a large pendant.

Hiya,
I was just at your Etsy shop and put some threads in my shopping cart and then took them back out. I am battling really hard with myself. I like the size 10 experimental thread for I can see it tatted up into a real pretty Tree Ornament...but with my husband out of work I have to keep telling myself I can't buy...I can't buy. I also loved the purple experimental one in size 80. If anybody want to grace me with these threads I would be one happy woman. Anyhoo...I just wanted to tell you I loved your threas and some of your tatting you also had listed on Etsy. Soon...you will be all the rage.
