The big 2-6

Yes it's true...Gasp....Horror.....Shock!

I'm no longer in my early 20's. Sigh.

Anyway, yesterday was my B'day. I was so worn out from Thanksgiving-anniversary-Christmas-Newyears etc. that I opted for life as usual for my Birthday. Hubby did get me a nice gift though-

Front and back shots of my first ever non plastic shuttle! Woohoo! Go Shuttleshop! I love it. Wasn't really a surprise but that's fine with me. Jim had me order the one I wanted, and then when it came in the mail a few weeks ago I didn't recognize the return address and I opened it. Hubby then hid it from me, but I convinced him I Needed it last week and he caved.

I do also have to tell about another birthday gift I received. Some time ago I wrote a christmas wish list on this post. I wrote how I was helping dear husband by giving his some clues because he has to deal with our anniversary, christmas and my birthday gift all within 30 days. Well Dear Bev aka Ridgewoman did the sweetest thing and send me a little Birthday gift of some beautiful thread and a lovely tatted snowflake. I was confused at first, it being October and my birthday being in January.......until I realized that I should have said in that post that hubby had to deal with all those holidays all within 30 days of eachother. Sorry Bev! Poor hubby does have to work hard this time of year. Our anniversary is Decembr 7th, and my Birthday is of course January 4th. that's the three major gift days all in one month pretty much. Bev sent off the gift with me not having stated the date of my birthday,....such a sweetheart! I love that gal! So, thank you Bev, for the early birthday gift. I love ya.

Lucky girl! Has anyone pointed out to you that you now need two packs of candles for your birthday cake? There's only 24 or 25 in the packs...you're that old! (giggle)

Happy birthday! And what an absolutely gorgeous shuttle! You are sooo lucky! We have the same problem in our house with our anniversary and my birthday all in December. As you say, it's a lot to put on a guy all at once! Sounds like you caught yourself a great guy.

It was very sweet of Bev to send you a birthday surprise. She always comes across so sweet and caring.

Happy birthday, young lady! I remember 26, it's fuzzy and a long long time ago, but I do remember it! Love the shuttle, too.

Happy birthday dear girl (I'm over 70, you are still a young woman to me. It was my privilege to poke my nose into your wish list. LOL
I never put off an urge to grant a wish...Perhaps it was an "un birthday' gift; those are fun too. And, I did reap what was sown; as you sent me those lovely ear rings! And we are both happy.
You will love tatting with your SS shuttle. They are great. I think I have six of them now ~ on has my initials on the back. I like the inlaid dove and bear a lot. I use them all! hugsand happy birthday

Happy birthday! I notice that you've been punctual with changing your age in the 'About me' section of your blog.

Also, your New Years resolution of improving your blog has inspired me to do a (little) bit better with my blog. So I've now labeled each entry. What a trend setter you are!

Happy birthday, you sweet young thing! You have now reached my youngest daughter's age, and it seems like she was born just last summer. I love your shuttle... I have the same one... I'm sure you'll find that wood shuttles are fabulous for tatting!

Oh, Krystle Dawne! You are still a "spring chicken" not to worry! LOL! I do remember getting very depressed on my 25th birthday for some reason so I do understand! I remember people saying to me, "wait 'til you turn 43!" and stuff like that and it really didn't help, it was only annoying so I won't say things like that to you.
Well, Happy Birthday and enjoy that beautiful shuttle! I just ♥ The Shuttle Shop and their beautiful shuttles! They are some beautiful little pieces of art, I tell ya!
Enjoy, and show us all what you make with it! :)

Krystle! Quit fibbin' about being 26! I refuse, as your Mom, to admit that you're that age. I haven't grown up yet.. so you can't either!

LOL! I am utterly amazed Darling! You are a very lovely lady and I am very proud, inside and out!

Wishing you many many more wonderful birthdays!
Love Ya,
Mom

2-6, huh....lol I remember a week after I turned 30 where it dawned on me I wasn't 20 something anymore.
I'm over 50 now and that was the only time age bothered me.
Oh, and your shuttle! Beautiful! I tat and I need to tat some more.....says this self taught shuttle tatter.
