Modeling....

Yesterday brought some welcome time to work on various tatting projects. I have this new goal to get to 100 listings...Bhaahaaaaahah.

Anyways, just a little extra work in the etsy department has paid dividends in sales. So while I was all dolled up for a wedding we had attended that afternoon, I took a few pics of me modeling jewelry. I have a custom order possibility from this yellow necklace you see me wearing, I'll fill you in on the details if it pans out.

Today I hope to let Dr. Vonthreadmore bust into the new dyes we aquired. That of course entails much winding of skeins, but it will have to wait until after kiddos bedtime as we are currently enjoying our kiddie pool in the backyard.

God Bless Wireless Internet.

Amen.

Oh, and since I have added a new look to the blog, I would appreciate any feedback on compatability/readability issues. Feel free to let me know if you love it or hate it. Well, maybe not if you hate it. :-)

I love your new blog look! And, now that I see a picture of you modeling your necklace, I think that one might have worked with my dress for Joanne's wedding. Oh, well... you snooze, you lose!

Good luck with your potential jewelry orders!

I like the new blog look, too. But I would switch out the photo upper right in the banner; for the one that is on the left side middle column. The latter is a better composition with the necklace.

I really like my new thread. I need to wind it on an ez bob, so I can use it ~ If I can ever get to my tatting area again (long story: should blog about it…LOL)

Oh, I appreciate the critique Bev, but unfortunately it was my first go around with a new complicated photo design program, and I think I have sandwiched it all together and cannot change it without much more fuss than I am interested in after taking all afternoon to do what is there :-)

Your new blog design looks great!
Plus, I can read this one on my iPod touch.
I couldn't read your other one unless I was using the desktop.

Love the new blog look! Also, did you get your hair cut? because it looks fab :-)

You are one of the people I think can really take good pictures - of your work, and of yourself!

You are a natural at modeling! Cute pics. I love the yellow necklace - very nice.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new look of your blog! Good luck with your Etsy listings - I don't know how you accomplish all that you do.

I can appreciate all the hard work setting it up ~ LOL

BUT you DID ask for opinions; and, I'm horridly honest when asked. I just really LIKE the photo of you with the tatted necklace…great composition.

Over all design is great with the 3 columns and it is much easier to read…good for you…

I cherish good and honest critique! I always take respectable opinions into consideration, and I appreciate when people give opinions along with their "permission" as to whether or not you take the advice. Drives me nuts when people think that just because they've told you something that you must do it or you don't respect their opinion, so thank you bev for your wonderful gracious way of giving pointers!

I think I used the picture i did because I liked my face in it. Vanity, I know, but I don't often feel good about pictures of myself and I think I look kinda cute in the one in the banner..... that's probably what I was thinking when I put it together.

Both of them were taken as self portraits at arms length lol!

OK, now I'm looking again at your pics. I really do like them both - but here's my opinion. The picture you've chosen for your banner is a more confident look if you are going for advertising. However, I like the necklace in the post pic better for advertising your jewelry. Both are great for different reasons. How's that for wishy-washy?

I know what you mean about that vanity thing - I usually hate pictures of myself, but when I think I look good, I want everyone to see it. Funny how we see ourselves. Makes me wonder if anyone else sees me the same way I do!

Very chic little sister...both you and the necklace!
