Blingity bling bling....

The girls are headed to a birthday party tomorrow (my hubby generously agreed to take them... while I escape to lace guild....) So I whipped up some little sparkly hairclips. It's late at night so the pictures are lousy, but I'll need to wrap them up and have them ready before I head out the door in the mornin. The budget really only allows for handmade gifts at this time, so be forewarned - if you invite me to your birthday, you'll get some tatting. Oh, and christmas? ... probably some tatting. Our yearly gift exchange? Perhaps some tatting.
Easter? Graduation? Baby shower? Bar Mitzfah?
Until I find gainful part time employment,
.
.
.
You're probably gonna get some tatting.
Disclaimer: no tatted lace was harmed in the making of these hairclips. Hotfix crystals were carefully applied to complete the look, in a safe and humane manner. Thread is Love Potion No. 9

The hair clips are adorable! My birthday's in June, but I really don't wear hair clips... maybe another bookmark? (wink, wink)

There's nothing wrong with handmade gifts. I recently found out that some of my daughters' friends liked the gifts that I whipped up the best... one year it was purses. I must have made 25 in a week. Then there was the year of the pillowcases. Oh, and the sun dresses, and don't forget the dish cloths...

... handmade gifts are preferred by Moi! This way I have stuff to show off and brag about where and who made them! Have your ears been burning a lot lately... just ask anyone that I have chatted with lately of how I go on and on and on.... heehehee.

Love Ya!
Hugs and Smoochie for my Lil Angels, please.

Ooh! I'll have to remember to send you an invitation to my birthday party!! ;)

Those are gorgeous! And YAY for you to say, this is what we can afford so this is what we'll do. The little girl will LOVE them and you didn't blow your budget on a birthday gift you couldn't afford. Now that's a win win!

I think hand made gifts are better than the bought ones. It means that the person put a lot of thought and effort into making something special!

I can't help but be envious. You're gonna look back on this as the good old days, and have some stories to tell your grandkids about how you got by... :)
